reflections#3
Few days ago, when it was about 20°C I've noticed people wearing sweaters, sweatshirts or even jackets. What's so unusual about that? Well, nothing at all but I thought about how we were wearing short sleeves when it was the same temperature in spring. The way we dress made me think about how quick we change our minds about surrounding us stuff and how we use to take things for granted. Before summer we were so happy while it was 20°C and it was so warm and sunny but now? We think it's quite chilly outside. Same things happens in other parts of out lives. If we have something for a long period of time we stop appreciate it. I don't say ( because it may be irrational) that we should force our bodies to not feel cold. That whole weather thing just made me stop and think how easily we forget how much good happened to us.
All is relative - we experience temperature in comparison to what our body has got used to. Similarly, when we are hungry, a plate of potatoes can turn out to be delicious but when we're full, even a sophisticated dish won't seem enticing. A poor person is happy if they earn 50 zloties, a millionaire won't be happy if they earned another million.
