Does school prepare us for real life?
School is preparing us for real life by teaching us how to build relationships and how to deal with everyday struggles. Since 1st grade we're learning how to make friends. Without school we won't have so many opportunities to meet others so we won't have skills to communicate with people. We're also learning there how to cope with simple problems, for example: how to study by ourselves. If there was no school we won't have so many chances in our childhood to start a new friendship and deal with small issues which makes us ready for adult life.
So school is primarily a social training ground. Knowledge seems to be of secondary importance. Right?
